Comprehensive assessment to identify beliefs, psychosocial and environmental factors, barriers to recovery, other factors influencing pain experience. Adminitration of self questionnaires reporting on pain and disability levels including how this may affect daily function. Multidimensional approach to treatment including PNE, graded motor imagery, neuroplasticity based rehab, breathing and autonomic regulation techniques.
Tailored rehabilitation programs structured by both physio and patient to be goal orientated. This program is based on SMART goals, allowing it to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. Areas of focus include improving mobility and strength, enhancing proprioceptive feeback, train conditioning and optimize overall function.
Static and dynamic posture assessments. Advice and education on seated and standing postures, assessment and corrections of ergonomic set-ups, revision of posture and positioning in a car and sleeping postures, core stregthening, deep neck flexor (DNF) retraining and motor control rehabilitation. Gait analysis with and without assistive devices, gait re-education with and without assistive devices, weaning off assistive devices.
Onsite wellness workshops including health promotion and education presentations. Pre-surgery baseline assessment conducted, including rehabilitation as per Orthopedic surgeon orders. Post surgery care including rehabilitation as per Dr's protocol and/or standard protocol. Assessment and diagnosis of sports related conditions based on comprehensive subjective and objective evaluation and obtaining information regarding mechanism of injury if relevant. Following rehab protocols based on stages of healing and promoting education on condition and road to recovery. Treatment may include a combination of manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular control stratergies, conditioning, enhancing proprioception, providing tailored rehabilitation treatment pathway and intergration of return to play programs.
